Welcome to The Joy Blog!
Hello and welcome to my little corner of big joy! *kiss-kiss*
Last year was a milestone for me. It is the year I woke up. I also turned 50. Such a cliché. I know. And the last thing I ever want to be is a cliché. Anyway, I have been extremely blessed in my life with a brilliant family, rock-star friends and modestly successful career. I used to think our share of goodness is limited and I should just be thankful and knock on wood…. I also thought that if I reached too high, or wanted something too much I would be reaching beyond what was already allotted to me. I also thought that self-doubt, fear and anxiety were part of the bargain.
Last year I woke up and remembered what I already knew. That we are all creators. Architects of our own lives. We all have gifts and create magical results when we activate our imaginations. When we dream big and play big. As I opened up and woke up from the 30 year sleep we call adulting, I began watching, reading, listening to teachers of all kinds. Connecting with other humans in a way I hadn’t since, well, childhood. I also remembered that I am a writer.
So I began this journey, to joy. I am deliberately creating a new and exciting, dynamic interpretation of happiness. Life is meant to be lived big, be fun and full. Full of the very best this life has to offer. Joy is our highest purpose and is our birthright.
That isn’t to say it’s all sunshine and unicorns, but what if it could be? Would you take the chance to find out? I said YES and I am not looking back. This blog is a community, a tribe of lovely humans who want to make a difference. This blog is my artist loft. This blog is the space I created – to create in. It is the archive of all my learning and the vehicle with which to share it. I am so pleased you are here.
